Our Story

The Cell Factory was founded in 2001 when our visionary Professor Girolamo Sirchia recognized the need for a translational and clinical research group focused on stem cells and their applications.

We have studied stem cells, starting with hematopoietic, then mesenchymal, and later induced pluripotent stem cells, and now 3D stem cells.

Many brilliant colleagues have contributed, learning, teaching, enjoying, and even crying along the way..

These photos show who we are now.

In two words, the Cell Factory.
